Physics Educator & Founder of MetaMotion • Sambalpur, Odisha
Alumnus, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela
Biography & Background
I am Asit Purohit, a physics educator, computational simulation engineer, and founder based in Sambalpur, Odisha, dedicated to reimagining STEM education through computational modeling and interactive simulation.
Having graduated from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, my academic training instilled a deep appreciation for first-principles thinking in physics and mathematical physics. Rooted in Sambalpur, I have mentored competitive physics aspirants and engineering students across western Odisha, guided conceptual problem-solving, and created interactive digital tools that bridge the gap between abstract mathematical formulas and visceral physical intuition.
Current Venture: MetaMotion
I am the founder of MetaMotion (metamotion.in), an interactive physics simulation platform that runs GPU-accelerated classical and modern physics simulations directly in the web browser.
Areas of Focus & Expertise
Physics Education
Classical mechanics, electromagnetism, vector fields, and thermodynamics taught with rigorous derivations and visual geometric insights.
